Overview

Proteus™ is a sophisticated training development application that supports the creation of advanced training programs. Appropriate for all forms of training development, Proteus™ excels in applications that require comprehensive, systematic training, including:

Operators of complex systems, such as airline pilots and power plant crews, who must satisfy stringent safety requirements; Teams which must closely coordinate their efforts under high-risk or time-intensive conditions, such as surgical teams; Personnel in technically or cognitively demanding jobs that require a high level of performance.

Developed from an enhanced Instructional Systems Development methodology, Proteus™ offers a comprehensive set of training development tools for:

• Performing thorough job task analyses,
• Identifying the full range of knowledge- and skill-based training objectives,
• Designing targeted training opportunities that focus on specific knowledges and skills, and
• Creating one or multiple curricula tailored to the specific needs of your organization and trainee population.

Proteus™ also includes tools for collecting trainee performance data that can be used to assess training program effectiveness. These tools will include:

• Test creation
• Multiple data entry forms for collecting trainee data in a variety of testing situations
• A student record repository, which stores performance data for each student

The integrated Proteus™ design links test elements with their supporting tasks, knowledges and skills, and training objectives; weaknesses in your training program can be quickly identified and corrected before a costly accident or incident occurs.

In addition, systematic assessment of each trainee’s progress supports true proficiency-based training. Trainees receive only the training they need to become proficient on each aspect of the job, and individual problems are caught and fixed early.
