General Call for Papers on Hazardous Materials Transportation

The TRB Committee on Transportation of Hazardous Materials (AT040) is calling for submittal of papers or session ideas for the next TRB Annual Meeting. The committee is interested in all modes of transportation (including pipeline) as well as issues from the shipper, carrier, container manufacturer, and emergency responder perspectives. Typically, the committee sponsors three sessions at the annual meeting: 1) a paper session, 2) a panel session on a timely issue or topic, and 3) a joint session with another TRB committee. Papers on any other topic related to hazmat transportation is of interest for the open paper session that will be held. Normally this will include 4-5 papers that will be accepted for presentation and possible publication.

Papers that you wish to be considered for publication or presentation at the Annual Meeting and that fall within the scope of the Committee should be submitted directly to TRB (not the committee chair).  Additional information and submission instructions can be found on the TRB Annual Meeting Web site.  [Note: indicating the committee designation (AT040) in your submission will facilitate its routing to this committee.]

General submissions (complete papers) are due by August 1 (slightly earlier if not in PDF format).
